Well, we may or may not have hit 10k before this comic goes up, but we will certainly hit it today. Almost 95k page visits and all that. I cannot say how grateful we are for those who have advertised on their own spaces for us, those who have provided images and other support to TOGM, and those who have read our comic and come back again to read it again. Thank you to all of you. You guys make the effort that I put into this worthwhile, and hopefully June feels the same way (Granted, she puts in waaaaay more effort...)
I hope that you guys enjoy this comic, she put a lot of work into the art. I also hope that you guys enjoy the arc that this one is going to follow. I'm having to rework some of it, but it's looking interesting so far. I found out that all that canned food will actually last a good amount of time so long as the cans are not damaged... Should spell the end of John's food concerns, right? Right?
If you want to learn some facts about Diabetes in a way that is surprisingly fun, check out They're Nuts. It is far more entertaining than I expected.
Also, an interesting Zombie comic that uses the art medium in an interesting way: Tomb with a View.
If someone is interested in becoming the 'default' ad for a while, send me a Leaderboard or a square. Being less visibly jarring gives you a better chance to win, bonus points for a black background on the squares. These ads will run whenever there aren't any ads being bid for. Still debating on keeping Project Wonderful or not, but for now this is my way of dealing with it.
Oh, I almost forgot. Bonejangles was responsible for judging some of the Top Webcomic List awards for 2009, and has a link to the winners on his site. Congrats to everyone who won, and those who were nominated. I knew we should have waited until November to start ;)
Annnnd, of course I put this up before I got confirmation, but the first place winner for the TOGM comic opetd to pass (He came down with madness, I'm sure... Why else pass up such an awesome prize?) and so MarshmallowGherkin wins due to second place. His prize will come ... eventually ;)
Has anyone told you that the art of this comic is very much like the art of Questionable Content? Because that was pretty much my first impression looking at this comic.
@Rival - It's hard to do really creepy considering how non-creepy the art is supposed to be ;) Glad you're enjoying it though.
@IWbaMs - I'm glad :) I know some people will look at it and dismiss it based on the art style. Maybe they'll come back after we have 300 and give it another try. Personally, I'm happy with it, so that's all we can do ;) I figure if we set out to make a comic that we are happy to make, and for us to enjoy, then we're a lot more likely to succeed in our own minds. If others also enjoy it, bonus :D
I eagerly await the continuation of this arc, as I do with every page. :D
I've got to give major props for going all-out on drawing that warehouse.
And lovin' to see a One finally in action. ^_^
@Caylynn - I was really impresed with it too ;)
@I-wanna - Yeah, it's been said *shrug* The storyline is obviously very different, so if people let the art style bother them, that's up to them..
@Effigy - Me too!! I was going to follow a different storyline a bit, but I thought John might be getting a tad too comfortable in this world...
@Jacob - No one's going to fall for that... There aren't any anymore ;)
