Ha! I love June's art for this one... The hands in the jumpsuit, the crazed look... It all amuses me to no end.
This was the last of the preview comics, so now that we're done this, next week will have the never before seen comics that ideally everyone who has read thusfar is now looking forward to! I just wanted to say thanks again to those 'alpha readers' for their feedback, though I'm sure that the criticism will be more harsh when this is opened up to people that don't have an interest in being nice to us. It was very nice to know that the people that we did show it to were pretty pleased with it.
Oh, that flyer that Beth chucked might be getting it's own comic after this one... Waiting to see what June's got cooked up for it :)
See you on Monday with brand new content!!
Just promoting a fellow webcomic artist who has managed to publish! ... because he needs it.. From us. Clearly.
I think my drawing has improved a bit by panels 3 and 4. This one was ridiculously fun to draw. I am STILL giggling about the expressions I drew in the last two half panels. I knew when I sat down to draw these that I was going to try and focus on developing my drawing of the faces. I spent HOURS on them, but I sure am proud of 'em.
I love how John looks like he's thinking "Sure lady, say anything you want but I'm not going to show you my weiner..."
And the next one he's "OMG PSYCHO HOSE BEAST!" And of course Beth's face reflects that. Also, note the unintentional nod to Disney's The Little Mermaid in panel 3. I swear, this didn't occur to me until after I'd finished the comic and really looked at it. She has the red hair and boobs and everything.
Any way, like James said, thanks for looking, etc etc. Cheers!
Hey! I really like this! The art work is great! And the story is already got me wanting more. I'd give you constructive criticism but, to be honest, I really do like it that much. LOL
Brand new comic on Monday! We've also got some extra, non-storyline things to put up in the near future, but I think the one I want to put up has to wait until after Thursday of next week to avoid spoiler or something.
Also, does anyone find the text size annoyingly big? I was looking at it last night and tried messing with the font size on another comic... 14 seemed to small, so I left it at 16 to test it out... I think that's comic ... 10 or 11...
If people find it annoyingly big though, I might go back and reupload all the old ones with size 16 instead.

I always like good indie comics and the internet always delivers what I consider to be the next phase of literature. Your concept is good, the art is well done, and overall I am looking forward to your ongoing story. Keep up the good work.
Sadly, the erection is more interesting as a sign of humanity than a hint that they are about to get it on... Beth's a zombie, afterall, no matter how 'alive' she looks... That would be like sexy, sexy necrophilia. Which is bad, mmmkay? (At least at this point in the comic..) It will always stay Work Safe though... So if you're just here to see Beth take her clothes off... Might have to wait until we make a spin off comic or something ;D
I fear you see my excitement as deviant lust, oh artist.
Lol, no, but seriously. An adult approach to sexuality is something I haven't really seen so much yet. The fact that he talks about erections to a doctor instead of pulling it out and yelling "Wiener" followed by titter... is pretty good.
But yeah... erm... get going on that... spin-off. ^^
I'm the writer :) I may post my 'art' on a different comic just to show why I'm not the Artist :) This was the last of the test comics that we put up originally to get feedback, I'm just hoping that people are here for the humour, not the presumption that they'll be getting naked. While she does get an eyeful, we're going to fast forward past that particular scene and move on to the consequences :)
Hey just looking over old strips this one was here long before I began so commenting is pointless as no one will read it but I can't believe the fresh blood on his clothes when no one else has blood anymore wasn't enough evidence but I suppose the brain scanner in the next strip helped clarify things.
I asked James about this one too .. I think the answer that I got was that Beth wasn't really expecting to see blood at all (humans have been long gone for years) so she may have overlooked it entirely, or thought it was something else etc.
It could also be faked or a prototype feature... But yeah, mainly it was the fact that they are pretty distant from blood, and it just wasn't something that registered... (Also because it didn't register with us! Oops!)
