This comic references Strip 13 where John tried this trick before. Needless to say, this isn't the free pass to all of Beth's secrets that he thought it would be.
R.Z. represents a lot of things to Beth and to say that their relationship is a point of some difficulty for Beth would be an understatement. She's really not doing well with this whole 'I'm a monster' thing.. Poor Beth.
