I hope that people aren't turned off by Sylene's text spam in Panel 2 or 3... I wanted to convey that she was speaking really fast, and set up John's stunned comment in response to feeling overwhelmed.. Let me know if it works, I guess... She's probably not going to do that very often (and will be disappearing for a while too) so if you did find it annoying, I guess we'll have a breather for a while.
Anyone notice the almost houdini-like name drop there? Yeah, I looked over at June again and said "Did we ever put her name in the comic?" She claimed Deja vu, I said "No, this actually happened before.. Twice."
By the time they show up, I've tended to have them written for quite a while, and their name is so common in my mind that I forget that no one else knows.. (unless you read the comments for the Sylene preview image, I guess.. But since we might change that later on to remove them from the general continuity, best to name drop it here :)
I think that this one helps to show Sylene's unpleasant side. It's mostly for show, but there you have it. Beth looked pretty pissed, which is a good set up for next Monday's comic. John looks pretty stunned too...
Anyways, I hope that everyone enjoys this one.. I enjoyed it, so hopefully you guys do too. Even though I had to go back after it was 'done' and add in the music notes.
